Quick Ways to Earn Money in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Author : Aaron Apr 10,2025

In *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, Mon is an essential currency that you'll need in abundance for buying gear, upgrading your Kakurega, purchasing cosmetics, and replenishing your Scouts. Here's how you can earn Mon quickly in the game.

How to Earn Mon in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, there's no shortage of methods to accumulate Mon. You can earn this currency directly and indirectly through various activities. One straightforward way is by completing contracts, where the amount of Mon you'll receive is clearly displayed on the quest icon when you accept it.

Another method to earn Mon is by looting. Throughout the game, you can find numerous chests and fallen enemies, both of which often contain Mon. This currency is immediately added to your total upon looting.

Selling items is yet another avenue to earn Mon. The vast world of Feudal Japan in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* is filled with gear like weapons and armor, which you can sell to vendors scattered across the map. If you stumble upon legendary items that you prefer to keep and upgrade, selling the surplus gear can be lucrative. Additionally, if you're not keen on customizing or upgrading your hideout, selling your hideout resources and crafting materials can provide extra Mon.

While looting, you'll also come across items known as Valuables. These items serve no practical purpose other than being sold, and you can conveniently sell them in bulk to vendors and merchants.

What is the Fastest Way to Earn Mon in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The most efficient strategy to earn Mon quickly in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* involves combining multiple methods. The most effective way to do this is by tackling Castle side activities.

Scattered across the game's depiction of Feudal Japan, you'll find several enemy-occupied Castles. These Castles offer multiple opportunities to earn Mon and can be swiftly navigated using Naoe's stealth abilities. These areas are teeming with enemies, including Samurai Daisho, who typically carry larger sums of Mon.

Castles are also packed with loot, including chests that contain Mon directly, as well as weapons, armor, and valuables that you can sell later. To maximize your Mon earnings, sneak into a Castle as Naoe, use your focus and eagle's vision to locate chests and enemies, and then proceed to eliminate and loot as many enemies as possible. Don't forget to open all the chests and assassinate the Daisho to claim their loot. After clearing a Castle, head to the nearest Gear Vendor or Port Trader to sell your loot.

If you've exhausted the Castle options or can't find any on your map, selling gear and completing contracts that offer Mon rewards are excellent ways to boost your in-game income.

*Assassin’s Creed Shadows* is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
