The wait for the much-anticipated Hong Kong cinema-inspired update, "Showdown in Chinatown," for Reverse: 1999 is finally over! Version 2.5, part one, is now live, bringing with it a host of new content including a limited character, Liang Yue, and a five-star character, Loggerhead. This update is packed with exciting additions that promise to enhance your gaming experience.
In "Showdown in Chinatown," the notorious arcanist criminal, Nightpiercer, resurfaces in Los Angeles, causing chaos. Officer Liang Yue, assigned by the Vigiles Bureau, teams up with the Division of Arcane Affairs to put an end to Nightpiercer's reign of terror once and for all. Liang Yue, a key character in this update, can be obtained through the limited-time "Moonbeam Guardian" Dushuo Limited Banner. Additionally, all players can snag a free garment for the beloved character, Windsong. With a generous offering of 40x free pulls available through various rewards and events, you'll have plenty of opportunities to add these top-tier characters to your roster.
The update introduces two new challenges: "When the Alarm Sounds" and the board game-themed "Critter Crash," both available until the 29th. These challenges come with special rewards, including Limited Portraits and a new garment. Furthermore, the traditional Chinese-style dress worn by Liang Yue inspires the "Old Stories New Perspectives" garment series, available for characters like Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong.
Keep an eye out for the new limited building where you can collect Red Envelopes through tasks and mini-games. These can be swapped for a variety of rewards, from 5-star insight coupons and portraits to growth materials.
