Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing out on certain side tasks can mean you're out of luck, as you can't go back to complete them. One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial not only for the quest but also for potential romance with Rosa. Here's how you can ensure you don't miss this opportunity.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To initiate the quest for Rosa's book, you first need to complete the "Via Argentum" quest and then start "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her. Make sure to ask her about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her, which officially starts the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

It's important to note that you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." If you leave Maleshov with Hans without finding the book, the quest fails, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Sneak inside and find another set of stairs near a small kitchen. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Proceed up the stairs, and you'll find a room with Lady Ofka. She's facing the fireplace, allowing you to sneak up behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the podium in her room, and the sword from the chest. In this same room, you'll find Rosa's book to the right of the fireplace in the window alcove. Pick it up to update your objective to return it to Rosa.

While in the area, grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room to save time later, as you'll need two weapons for Hans and his surprise guest. Then, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can work towards romancing him by choosing the heart dialogue option, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, dealing with guards as needed, and ensure Hans reaches the stables safely.

After opening the gate and completing the quest through another cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, wrapping up this side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
