Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider

"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but largely earns its price through very good image quality powered by top-tier processing that results in a fantastic gaming experience."

The Sony Bravia XR X93L, released in March 2023, stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, just below the X95L, which was only available in an 85" size in the US. The X93L features Mini LED technology, which significantly enhances HDR content. Mini LED panels use smaller and more numerous LEDs, allowing for precise control over brightness and contrast, resulting in superior black levels and overall picture quality.

This TV is also a stellar choice for gamers. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, two of which support HDMI 2.1 specifications. This enables 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, ideal for next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While the upcoming Switch 2 will be limited to 60fps in 4K when docked, HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary for that system.

For Android smartphone users, the Sony Bravia XR X93L integrates the reliable Google TV smart interface. It's user-friendly and efficient, and you can even use your Android device as a remote control.
