Shining Revelry Expansion Coming Soon to Pokemon TCG Pocket

Author : Aiden May 22,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I'm always deeply engaged when a new set launches and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn for achieving around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to logging in, opening my packs, and doing a Wonder Pick for fun before logging off until the next day. This cycle will kick off again with the release of the new expansion, Shining Revelry, set to launch on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will add 110 new cards to the game, featuring a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and those stunning art cards that have become a fan favorite. The most thrilling aspect, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon. For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokemon are special, differently colored versions of the creatures we know and love. For instance, Lucario will appear in yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu will boast a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse of what's in store, so let's dive into the details. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will make its debut, boasting 180 HP and a formidable attack called Steam Artillery that deals 150 damage. However, it requires a hefty five energy to use. On the flip side, its other move, Stoke, allows you to attach three Fire Energy cards at once, which can be a game-changer.

Another exciting addition is the new Lucario Ex. Previously more of a support player in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready to take on a more aggressive role. With 150 HP and the Aura Sphere attack, which requires three Fighting Energy to deal 100 damage and hit an opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30, it's set to make a significant impact on the battlefield.

The trailer also teases other cards that may not be game-changers but are visually appealing nonetheless. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are coming, and they look fantastic. There's also a beautiful Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with optional in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
