HoYoverse has launched a special cultural update for Tears of Themis titled Ballad of the Dunes. This unique collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism Department merges detective gameplay with Dunhuang's heritage, bringing Chinese desert culture to life.

Experience history, romance and mystery woven through Silk Road aesthetics. Investigate cases surrounded by ancient desert landscapes while exploring Dunhuang's artistic legacy.
New Collector Cards Inspired by Dunhuang Culture
The update introduces four exquisite MR cards featuring Luke, Artem, Vyn and Marius in stunning Dunhuang-inspired designs:
- Luke: "In the Footsteps of Silk"
- Artem: "Serenade of the Soul"
- Vyn: "Reverberation Through Time"
- Marius: "Void of Creation"
Each card showcases traditional elements like celestial musicians (flying apsaras), cave murals, and the iconic backward-held pipa instrument, drawing direct inspiration from Mogao Cave artworks.

Available from February 13-20, 2025, players can earn:
- Camel Bells (event currency)
- S-Chips
- Four exclusive MR cards
- "Celebration – Dunes" Namecard (100-cell completion reward)
The event features a puzzle board mechanic where players flip tiles to uncover rewards. Complete each round to select one MR card of your choice.
