Sonic Franchise Updates Ahead of 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3'

Get ready for a Sonic boom! Sega's celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with a flurry of exciting updates across its mobile Sonic games. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces on iOS and Android, these updates deliver fresh content inspired by the new movie.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging courses playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other fan favorites. Complete these levels before seeing the movie for a truly immersive experience!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, boasting unique abilities. Unlock him via Tails’ Challenges and unleash his Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers to manipulate time and freeze opponents.

The update also introduces new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, along with exclusive upgrades like Double Chaos Shift for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, plus a revamped tutorial, round out this substantial update.

And the fun doesn't stop there! Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, offering the chance to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily challenges provide extra rewards to keep you engaged. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
