Star Wars: Hunters, despite not even reaching its first birthday, will be shutting down on October 1st, 2025. This marks a surprisingly short lifespan for the mobile title, only nine months after its launch. However, players will still have a chance to finish Season 5, which concludes on April 15th.
When Will Star Wars: Hunters Shut Down?
The official shutdown date for Star Wars: Hunters is October 1st, 2025. This comes after a relatively short run, giving players a few extra weeks beyond the end of Season 5 (April 15th) to enjoy the game.
Zynga, the developer and publisher, is releasing a final content update on April 15th, including a free new Support Hunter, Tuya. Importantly, in-app purchases will be disabled on this date, so spend any remaining Crystals before then—no refunds will be offered. Ranked Mode will remain active until the servers close, and existing season events will be rerun.
A Predictable End?
While unfortunate, the closure of Star Wars: Hunters might not be entirely surprising. The game faced several hurdles from its inception, including multiple delays, limited beta testing (SEA and ANZAC regions only), and a lack of major console support. This, coupled with a less-than-enthusiastic initial reception, likely contributed to its demise.
The game's design choices also seem questionable in retrospect. Instead of leveraging the immense popularity of iconic Star Wars characters, Hunters opted for original characters, potentially missing an opportunity to attract a larger player base.
If you're curious to experience the game one last time before it's gone, Star Wars: Hunters remains available for download on the Google Play Store until the shutdown.
