Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced record-breaking financial results for 2024. Stellar Blade generated $43 million in royalties, and the upcoming PC release is projected to surpass PlayStation 5 sales.
Game World Observer reported Shift Up's 2024 financial report, showcasing a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million. Stellar Blade royalties alone contributed $43.2 million to this impressive figure.
The success shows no signs of waning. Shift Up anticipates stronger PC sales than the console version, particularly within the Asian gaming market. Furthermore, they plan to unveil their new title, Project Witches, in the first half of 2025. However, this isn't the highly anticipated Stellar Blade sequel, though a sequel is under consideration.
Project Witches was initially announced in 2024, shortly after Stellar Blade's PS5 launch, preempting significant demand for a direct follow-up.
Stellar Blade, a fast-paced action RPG, puts players in the role of Eve as she fights to reclaim Earth from mysterious invaders.
