DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. The trailer, lasting three minutes, provides fans with an in-depth look at the extensive cast of superheroes and villains that will populate this eagerly anticipated movie.
In the trailer, we get to see Nathan Fillion in action as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes with a simple flick of his hand. Isabela Merced takes on the role of Hawkgirl, and we are treated to our most detailed view yet of The Engineer, portrayed by María Gabriela de Faría. Notably, The Engineer is shown destroying robots within the Fortress of Solitude, including the beloved Kelex, a scene that was hinted at in a previous trailer where Superman was seen cradling a damaged Kelex.
Krypto the Superdog also makes a memorable appearance, engaging in combat with The Engineer and delivering a flying punch, demonstrating his readiness to tackle evil alongside Superman. The trailer also showcases Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and introduces Ultraman to the action. We see more of Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho. Additionally, the newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia, suspected to be Ultraman in disguise, appears as teased in the previous day's trailer.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is highlighted prominently, with a scene showing Lois interviewing Clark in his Superman guise. The interview escalates into a heated argument over Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a foreign war, with Superman defending his actions by stating, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This intervention leads to The Hammer of Boravia launching an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
In another striking moment, a member of the public is seen helping Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This scene contrasts sharply with other footage where the public is shown reacting negatively towards Superman, screaming and even throwing objects at him.
This new trailer not only heightens anticipation for the film but also deepens our understanding of the complex dynamics and thrilling action that await in this new chapter of the Superman saga.
