Survive Iceland’s Brutal Winters with Clever Resource Management in Landnama - Viking Strategy RPG

Sonderland has been releasing some truly unique games lately. Following the recent launch of their Android title, Bella Wants Blood, I'm excited to share news about their latest release: Landnama – Viking Strategy RPG.

The name pretty much says it all: a Viking-themed strategy RPG. You'll step into the rugged boots of a Viking chieftain, striving to build a life in medieval Iceland. Forget typical city-building; this is a far more challenging experience.

Life is Tough in Landnama – Viking Strategy RPG

The core challenge? Surviving the brutal Icelandic winters using a single, precious resource: Hearts. These Hearts are your Viking clan's lifeline, essential for every building project, upgrade, and survival effort. Every decision counts.

Landnama – Viking Strategy RPG blends strategy and puzzle elements. Forget intense combat; this is about nurturing a thriving Viking community. You'll send your clan to explore, strategically build settlements, and carefully manage resources to keep your people warm and alive.

The gameplay is refreshingly snappy, and the visuals are surprisingly soothing. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of the game in action!

Surviving the Bone-Chilling Winters

This is where your Hearts resource becomes crucial. You'll constantly face difficult choices: expand your settlement (at a cost of Hearts) or prioritize hunting and building up a stockpile to weather the harsh winters.

Choosing fertile land might seem ideal for building, but each terrain presents unique challenges. Fans of games like Northgard and Catan will find much to appreciate in Landnama. Head over to the Google Play Store and give it a try!

And while you're here, don't miss our coverage of the open beta for the top-down action roguelike, Shadow of the Depth, on Android!
