Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its horizons with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition opens up a route to Switzerland, introducing both country-to-country and city-to-country connections to the gameplay. Players can now strategically build their railroad empires across Switzerland and its neighboring nations, adding a new layer of complexity to the game.

Beyond the geographical expansion, the Switzerland expansion also introduces two brand-new characters and four fresh tokens, making it the perfect holiday gift for Ticket to Ride enthusiasts. Developer Marmalade Games aimed to deliver a festive update that not only expands the game's map but also introduces fresh strategic mechanics.

Country-to-country tickets challenge players to connect specific countries, offering multiple route choices and varying point values depending on the connection. Similarly, city-to-country tickets add another layer of strategic decision-making, requiring players to link cities and countries. The limited number of nodes in each country necessitates careful planning and prioritization of routes.

Successful route completions reward players with points based on the highest-scoring connection for each ticket. Conversely, failing to complete a ticket results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox releases coming soon. Stay updated on all things Ticket to Ride by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
