Stardew Valley's Nintendo Switch Update: Addressing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Issues

ConcernedApe, the developer of Stardew Valley, has confirmed an upcoming Nintendo Switch patch to resolve the game-breaking divorce crash and raccoon shop glitches. While these issues have been fixed across PC, mobile, and other consoles, the Switch version's patch remains in development, with a release promised "as soon as possible."

This news follows the release of Stardew Valley's extensive 1.6 update, which introduced significant new content including: new NPC dialogue, the Meadowlands Farm, additional festivals and events, and enhanced visuals such as waterfalls and seasonal map variations. Unfortunately, subsequent patches inadvertently introduced new bugs, including the aforementioned critical issues.

ConcernedApe's commitment to addressing player concerns has been praised by the Stardew Valley community. The developer's transparent communication regarding the Switch patch's progress reassures players that a solution is imminent. The patch will address the divorce crash and the problematic raccoon shop, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience for Switch players. The developer's dedication to post-release support underscores the ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing the beloved farming simulator.
