SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Fragrant Story & Papaya’s Path’, Plus Today’s Other Releases and Sales

Author : Carter Feb 02,2025

Hello fellow gamers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Roundup for August 26th, 2024! This week's update is a bit lighter than usual. Due to other commitments, reviews are on hold for today, but we've still got some new releases and the usual sales round-up. At least one of the new releases is quite intriguing, and the sales are pretty solid too. Reviews should be back tomorrow, hopefully! Let's dive into the details.

New Game Releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya's Path ($7.99)

Let's clear up the confusion surrounding Fragrant Story, a purported final Nintendo 3DS title. Initially released as a disappointingly short experience (around 20 minutes!), it was later updated to its intended, much longer form (over 10 hours of gameplay). This version includes all updates, offering a robust tactical RPG experience for a reasonable price. A worthwhile purchase for fans of the genre.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

A straightforward platformer with 40 levels. It keeps things interesting with varied gameplay mechanics introduced throughout. A fun, budget-friendly option.

Underground Station ($7.90)

An idle game where you work in a dungeon to pay off debts. The visuals aren't spectacular, but it's a decent option for a day when other releases might be less appealing.

Sales

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Let's check the sales. Limited Run Games has another sale, which is great news if you've missed any of their unique titles. There are also sales on several TROOOZE and Team 17 games (only a selection listed here). The recent sale on the Front Mission remakes is ending soon, so grab them if you're interested—these discounts don't appear often.
