Transformers: Reactivate Gameplay Footage Leaks After Game’s Cancellation

Author : Aria Feb 07,2025

Recently canceled Transformers: Reactivate gameplay footage has re-emerged online. Splash Damage, the developer, announced the co-op game in 2022, promising a multiplayer experience featuring Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons uniting against an alien threat.

Despite initial excitement, limited gameplay footage was publicly released. Following the game's cancellation, leaked footage from a 2020 build surfaced, showcasing Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, seamlessly transforming between robot and vehicle modes, and engaging in combat against "the Legion," the game's intended antagonists. The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.

The leaked footage, while incomplete (some textures are missing), demonstrates a polished game with environmental destruction. An unfinished cutscene shows Bumblebee emerging from a portal in a ravaged New York City, communicating with an ally named Devin. Numerous other leaks from 2020 also exist, predating the game's official announcement and subsequent cancellation. While the game itself won't be released, the leaks offer a glimpse into Splash Damage's vision for the ambitious, yet ultimately unsuccessful, Transformers title.
