Travelers collecting video game replicas or figurines should reconsider packing Call of Duty-style weapon lookalikes in their luggage.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently reinforced this warning when inspecting prohibited items. As Dexerto reported, TSA's Facebook page featured a Call of Duty Zombies Monkey Bomb replica confiscated from checked baggage at Boston Logan Airport.

The Cymbal Monkey weapon has appeared across multiple Call of Duty titles since World at War, including the upcoming Black Ops 6. This particular figurine doubles as a controller holder, though its explosive-like appearance with visible dynamite and wiring raised security concerns.
"While this monkey scores points in-game, real-world baggage isn't the place for replica weapons," the TSA stated. "Collectible or not, imitation explosives and firearms remain prohibited in all luggage categories."
TSA guidelines explicitly ban toy weapons resembling real firearms, including Nerf guns, water pistols and simulated swords. The agency's intervention ironically highlights the authentic detailing of these collectibles.
Convention-goers should note these restrictions when purchasing merchandise. From ninja-themed props to detailed replicas, TSA reserves the right to confiscate any items deemed security risks - regardless of their actual functionality.
