Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each with a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.
To begin, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. You'll notice a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate ending. Normally, this stage involves escorting Liu Bei while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of simply ensuring Liu Bei's escape.
This is challenging. You'll be largely alone against Cao Cao's massive army, embodying the series' iconic "1 vs. 1000" battles. Liu Bei's defeat before Cao Cao's means a mission restart. To improve your odds:

Reduce Difficulty: Select "Historian" mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this almost impossible on higher difficulties unless you're exceptionally high-leveled.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei. This starts you closer to Cao Cao's forces, minimizing travel time.

Musou Meter Management: Prepare your Musou Rage before engaging Cao Cao's army. You'll face two Grand Tactics: eliminating two officers and defeating 250 soldiers. Twin pikes are recommended for the latter.
Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions remain before the Shu true ending is revealed.
