⚫︎ Bad Guitar Studio, the developers behind FragPunk, have exciting news for console gamers: FragPunk will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on April 29. This free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter initially hit the PC market via Steam on March 6. Originally, console versions were set to release simultaneously, but last-minute optimization needs pushed back the date. The upcoming console release promises cross-play functionality, allowing seamless gaming across all platforms.

⚫︎ On March 18, FragPunk introduced a significant balance update without any server downtime. This update enhances gameplay by increasing overall movement speed and refining footstep audio effects. It also brings weapon and Lancer ability balancing, removes the “Hide your name” feature to bolster anti-cheat efforts, and fixes numerous gameplay and UI bugs.

⚫︎ Bad Guitar, the team behind FragPunk, announced a delay in the game's console release due to unforeseen technical challenges during optimization and adaptation. The delay was necessary after compliance testing for Xbox and PlayStation versions revealed issues, ensuring a uniform experience across all platforms. As a gesture of appreciation, console players will receive rewards upon the game's launch, including in-game currencies, cosmetics, and experience boosts.
