Mastering VALHALLA SURVIVAL's Combat
VALHALLA SURVIVAL offers a unique roguelike experience. You control your character's movement only, equipping weapons and leveling up characters outside of the in-game stages. Select your character and weapon, click "play," and embark on increasingly challenging story stages. Early enemies are weaker, but don't underestimate the importance of dodging! Bosses and mini-bosses will rigorously test your agility.
Movement is achieved by clicking anywhere on the screen; there's no traditional movement wheel. While visually stunning, skill animations can sometimes have longer render times. Collect blue crystals (EXP) from defeated enemies to level up your character, and green crystals (HP) to replenish health.
In-game microtransactions allow purchasing these crystals after completing campaign mode stages 1-4. Each character possesses unique traits that synergize with their combat abilities. You can freely level up and switch between any of your owned characters, regardless of class, offering unparalleled flexibility in your playstyle. Leveling boosts base stats (Attack, Defense, Movement Speed) and enhances abilities.
Weaponry and Character Builds
Weapons are crucial for survival. The game encourages experimentation with various weapon builds, but class restrictions apply (e.g., a melee warrior might not wield a bow effectively). However, each class has multiple weapon choices, combinable with armor and other equipment to create powerful synergies.
Weapons also grant characters stat boosts, improving damage, survivability, and mobility. Weapons of varying rarities are acquired as loot from mini-bosses and bosses, with higher-quality drops appearing at greater difficulty levels.
