Netflix unveiled the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. Set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic action sequences featuring young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game series.
Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision, explaining the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting and its accompanying soundtrack. He highlighted Limp Bizkit's contribution and hinted at other period-appropriate tracks, along with a synthwave reimagining of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove. Shankar also confirmed plans for future seasons, each with a distinct visual style and soundtrack, reflecting the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games.
While plot specifics remain under wraps, the first season—comprising eight episodes—is anticipated to adapt elements from the Code 1: Dante manga (loosely based on Devil May Cry 3), centering on a young Dante investigating a child's disappearance, forcing a confrontation with his demonic heritage and the legacy of his father, Sparda.
