The quest, titled "Lackey," begins by speaking with either Zlata at Vostatek's residence west of Tachov, or directly with Vitek (slightly southeast of the house, as marked 'B' on the map above). This leads you northward to where Vostatek is under wolf attack.

Finding Pepik: A Trail of Clues

After rescuing Vostatek, you'll escort him to his campsite, where Pepik was last seen. He'll be gone, leaving you to follow a trail of clues. Carefully examine each clue along the path to uncover the horse's whereabouts. This trail ultimately leads to a poacher's camp.

Pepik is held captive by the poachers. Strategically engage the poachers; they patrol individually or in small groups, allowing for more manageable combat encounters. Alternatively, you can bypass the tougher poachers within the camp and quickly ride Pepik away. Note that there's no opportunity to rest between rescuing Vostatek and recovering Pepik.

Return Pepik to Vostatek's campsite. You can then choose to ride with him back to his home (a fast travel option), receiving a substantial Groschen reward and access to lodging whenever needed.

With Pepik returned, you're free to proceed with other quests, pursue romantic interests, or purchase additional equipment using your well-earned funds.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
