We'll finally get concrete details about the return of Call of Duty Warzone's iconic Verdansk map on March 10.
Activision initially announced Verdansk's comeback to Warzone last August, but at that time only provided a broad "spring 2025" timeframe without specific dates.
Players visiting the Call of Duty shop now see a pop-up labeled "The Verdansk Collection" with a countdown that appears to expire on March 10, 2025 (via InsiderGaming).

The teaser includes a simple alpine sketch featuring snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane - instantly recognizable landmarks for veterans who played the original map before its replacement with Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and later Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to experience the classic map is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.
This marks an exciting reversal from 2021's announcement that "current-day Verdansk is gone forever."
Meanwhile, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched with five new Multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game mode, plus new weapons and operators - including the premium Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover content.
Warzone's content updates have been scaled back while developers prioritize addressing critical gameplay issues, including balance adjustments, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
