Author : Isaac May 02,2025

The world of Wingspan is set to expand once again, this time bringing the vibrant birds of Asia to your digital sanctuary. The eagerly awaited Wingspan: Asia Expansion is slated for release later this year, promising a fresh collection of species, innovative gameplay mechanics, and an exciting new two-player experience that adds even more variety to your mindfulness sessions.

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of the East, Wingspan: Asia Expansion introduces a captivating array of new bird and bonus cards, along with stunning backgrounds and beautifully illustrated player portraits inspired by the region. These additions will immerse you in the rich tapestry of Asian avian life. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to explore the brand-new Duet Mode, designed to enhance your gameplay experience.

The Duet Mode introduces a special Duet Map, where you'll vie for habitat spaces using tokens while striving to achieve unique end-of-round goals. This format encourages a fresh approach to each session, ensuring every round feels new and exciting.

For solo enthusiasts, the expansion includes two new bonus cards tailored for Automa, adding extra depth to your individual play sessions. Whether you're competing against others or honing your strategy alone, there's a wealth of new content to discover with the birds of Asia.

In addition, you can look forward to a diverse set of new birds, each boasting unique powers and characteristics. These additions offer fresh opportunities to refine your strategy and explore species from across Asia, making it a perfect addition for avid birdwatchers.

The expansion also features 13 bonus cards, introducing another layer of strategy as you build your sanctuary. With these new options, you'll discover more ways to adapt your playstyle and experiment with different approaches.

To further enhance your visual experience, four new backgrounds transform your screen into a window to the East, while eight new player portraits reflect the rich elements of local Asian cultures. To complete the immersive experience, four new music tracks composed by Pawel Górniak will accompany your journey.
