World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery concludes with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This major update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds will then face the iconic Naxxramas raid starting February 6th.
This phase arrives just two months after Phase 6, which saw players battling in Silithus and tackling the Ahn'qiraj raids. The mysterious Shadowy Figure, observed during Phase 6, remains an enigma; its potential reappearance in Phase 7 is yet to be seen.
Phase 7, commencing after scheduled server maintenance on January 28th, will unlock the Karazhan Crypts, a new 5-player dungeon beneath the Karazhan tower. Simultaneously, the Scourge Invasions will unleash undead hordes across Azeroth. New quests at Light's Hope Chapel and the acquisition of Necrotic Runes for consumable purchases add further depth.
Key features of Phase 7:
- Launch Date: Tuesday, January 28th (following server maintenance).
- New Content: Scourge Invasions, Karazhan Crypts dungeon, Naxxramas raid.
- New Runes: Available from Rune Brokers.
- Naxxramas Difficulty: "Empower" difficulty option added.
The Naxxramas raid, opening February 6th, offers a similar tiered challenge system to Ahn'qiraj, with an "Empower" difficulty for increased rewards. Conquering Naxxramas' four wings unlocks access to the Frostwyrm Lair and its final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
While Season of Discovery concludes with Phase 7, World of Warcraft Classic players can anticipate a busy 2025 with further updates across all game versions. The future of Seasonal realms remains to be seen.
