Morph Painting Restoration Guide
Restoring these paintings simply requires matching portraits to their described pedestals. Examine the pedestal inscriptions, locate the corresponding artwork, then use your Levitator tool to position it correctly. The game typically auto-equips the Levitator, but you can manually activate it by pressing Tab or D-Pad Left if needed.
Currently, two such puzzles exist in the game, both connected to the Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise and Trials of Old quests.
Resounding Rise Tower Puzzle Solution
During the Shadows of the Past quest in Thorncrown's Thessaleo Falls region, you'll encounter a Morph Painting puzzle in the Resounding Rise tower. The solution involves strategically repositioning the artworks:
- Exchange the front-left and back-right paintings
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left position
- Relocate the artwork behind the right chairs to the front-right pedestal
Successful completion rewards you with a chest and allows quest progression.
Trial of Wisdom Painting Puzzle
In the Porto-Veno Castle area of Thessaleo Fells, the Trials of Old quest presents another painting challenge as part of the Trial of Wisdom. Arrange the artworks to form a coherent left-to-right narrative, with the correct sequence shown in the accompanying image.
Pro Tip: The frame illuminates when correctly placed paintings are positioned, letting you bypass puzzle-solving through visual confirmation.
