Xbox Cloud Gaming\'s beta now lets you play your own games, even outside the catalogue

Author : Max Jan 23,2025

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expands cloud gaming capabilities, allowing users to stream games from their personal library, regardless of Game Pass subscription status. This significant update extends the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta to 28 countries and adds 50 new titles to the streaming library.

Previously, cloud gaming was limited to titles within the Game Pass catalogue. This change opens the service to a much wider range of games, including popular titles such as Baldur's Gate 3, Space Marine 2, and Witcher 3. Users can now stream their owned games to phones and tablets.

Expanding Cloud Gaming Horizons

This feature addresses a long-standing limitation of cloud gaming services: restricted game selection. The ability to stream personally owned games significantly enhances accessibility and convenience. This development is also expected to increase competition within the mobile gaming market.

For those new to console or PC streaming, helpful guides are available to assist with setup and configuration, enabling seamless gameplay across various devices and locations.
