Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing departures. The month of January promises an exciting mix of new games for subscribers, building on recent service updates including age restrictions and revised rewards systems.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

Microsoft announced seven new additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog via their official blog on January 7th, 2025. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure game, is immediately available across all tiers (including PC Game Pass). This marks its return to the service after a previous stint. The remaining six games will launch later in the month:

  • Road 96: Available January 7th (All Tiers)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th (Standard & Ultimate)
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th (Ultimate Only)
  • Diablo: Available January 14th (Ultimate & PC Game Pass)

Note that Diablo and UFC 5 will have limited availability, with Diablo exclusive to Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and UFC 5 restricted to Ultimate subscribers only. The remaining titles are accessible with a standard subscription.

Alongside the new games, several new Game Pass Ultimate Perks are also available as of January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th, 2025:

As new games arrive, some must depart. Microsoft confirmed the following six titles will be removed from the service on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This initial January lineup is just the beginning. Further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond are expected soon.
