Zenless Zone Zero shows off new pre-release stream with a sneak peek of upcoming launch content

Author : Lillian Feb 28,2025

Zenless Zone Zero, MiHoYo's upcoming action RPG, unveiled exciting new content in a recent pre-release livestream. This version 1.0 showcase, just before the July 4th launch, offers a final glimpse at the game before its App Store and Google Play debut.

The game plunges players into a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the Hollows, where they assume the role of a "Proxy" exploring New Eridu, humanity's last refuge. A departure from MiHoYo's typical sci-fi and fantasy settings, Zenless Zone Zero's urban fantasy backdrop could be the studio's most successful title yet.

High Stakes? Launching on July 4th, Zenless Zone Zero joins MiHoYo's impressive portfolio, built on the phenomenal success of Genshin Impact. The studio's trajectory has been upward ever since.

ytSubscribe to Pocket Gamer on Zenless Zone Zero distinguishes itself with its urban fantasy setting, a change from the sci-fi and fantasy themes of the Honkai and Genshin Impact franchises. The livestream highlighted the game's emphasis on music, with a musical performance featured prominently alongside gameplay and new area reveals.

Will MiHoYo become the next Supercell, boasting a string of hit games? Or will Zenless Zone Zero prove too ambitious? Only time will tell.
