Beyond: Two Souls TV Series on the Way from Star Elliot Page

Author : Nora Apr 12,2025

Elliot Page, the original star of PlayStation and Quantic Dream's story-driven adventure game Beyond: Two Souls, is set to bring the game to life in a new way through a TV series reimagining. Page's production company, Pageboy Productions, has acquired the rights from Quantic Dream with the aim of transforming the game into a captivating television show. The project is currently in its early stages of development, and the team plans to maintain the game’s distinctive non-linear narrative as they progress. Specific details such as casting and release plans are yet to be disclosed.

Reflecting on his experience, Page shared with Deadline that filming Beyond: Two Souls was “one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences” of his career. He expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers.”

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, elaborated on the team's vision. He emphasized their commitment to “honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives.” Smitt highlighted the core themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions, which will be central to the narrative of the series.

Originally launched for the PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later became available on the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Directed and written by David Cage of Quantic Dream, the game follows the journey of Jodie Holmes, a girl with psychic abilities who can communicate with a spirit named Aiden. The game's non-linear structure and the involvement of renowned actors like Page and Willem Dafoe contributed to its acclaim.

David Cage expressed his excitement about collaborating with Page on the TV adaptation, stating, “We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project. I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond. I know that Elliot has all the talent and instinct to make it something really unique on TV.”
