Scanwords in Russian represent a unique cultural phenomenon, unmatched in any other language. These puzzles are filled with literary questions, humorous queries, and timely references to current events, showcasing the Russian people's deep connection with their language. Russians cherish their words, uphold their promises, and value the power of language like a precious gem.
Our application offers a diverse range of scanwords, from simpler to more challenging ones, featuring photographs, classic questions, or associative prompts such as "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's tips. Each magazine issue includes an English-Russian scanword and a "holey" one, the reason for its name becoming clear once you try it. Each page welcomes you with a character from our cheerful family. All scanwords are free for the reader, forming an annual collection of 52-53 issues, each containing 20 scanwords. The complete yearly collection will occupy about 50 MB on your phone, as the images are small and the text is minimal. We respect the space on your device.
You don't need an internet connection to solve the puzzles once they are downloaded onto your phone. A new magazine issue is released every Friday. If you have the "notification" option enabled, you will receive a reminder at 12:00 local time every Friday. Upon opening the app, the new issue downloads automatically and, if successful, will not download again. You can also download or delete individual magazines on your phone, or use the "Settings" option to download all magazines at once.
The primary features, including access to all scanwords, are free for the reader within the app. The cost of the banquet is covered by our advertisers, who are allowed a narrow banner on each page and one interstitial ad before opening a scanword. Our advertisers do not interrupt your puzzle-solving experience and reward you with free hints for watching their videos.
Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to "interrupt" the advertiser by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to turn off ads and gain unlimited hints for the subscription period, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are clearly displayed in the "Shop".

- We use the standard Android advertising identifier exclusively for ad placement and performance analysis. An advertising identifier may be associated with personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers such as SSAID, MAC address, or IMEI only with your explicit consent.
