Application Description

Want to become a real artist?

Surprise your friends by becoming an excellent artist in no time. Unleash your creativity with Artist's Eye, a utility that enables you to draw or paint with a real pen or pencil on paper or canvas. Simply choose a model picture, such as a photo, and as you draw, watch your progress through your phone or tablet equipped with a camera.

The model image appears semi-transparent over your work, helping you to outline the contours much like the centuries-old technique of the camera lucida obscura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_lucida). For optimal results, it's recommended to attach your phone to a support stand to keep it steady, freeing up both hands for your art.

This method is not cheating; it's a modern way of working and learning. Be sure to WATCH THE VIDEO to understand how to use the app effectively. Reviews indicate that users who gave low ratings did not fully grasp the app's functionality.

Hint: If you're using newer Samsung or LG phones without a menu button, you can access the menu by long-pressing the task-switching button.
