Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, introducing essential updates and bug fixes for the game. While the patch focuses on removing progression blockers and resolving various bugs, performance improvements are not mentioned in the patch notes.

Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds retains a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, largely due to reported performance issues on PC. Nevertheless, the game’s success is undeniable, selling 8 million copies in just three days and achieving the fifth-highest concurrent player count on Steam, with a peak of 1,384,606 users—surpassing popular titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring.

A highly anticipated title update for Monster Hunter Wilds, expected in early April, will introduce a new endgame area and additional monster hunting content.

  • Players fall through the map when heading to Azuz during Main Mission: Chapter 2-1.
  • Access to the Monster Field Guide is blocked.

  • Using a mantle activates unintended Weapon Equipment Skills.
  • Certain skills display continuous effects, such as Peak Performance and Self-Improvement.
  • Performing an Offset Attack with the Insect Glaive’s Descending Slash may freeze the hunter and render controls unresponsive.
  • Screen rendering issues leading to forced quits have been addressed.
  • The Meal Invitation feature at Azuz and Sild fails to unlock in some cases.
  • Notifications incorrectly suggest receiving a Meal Invitation when unavailable.
  • Issues with Equipment Loadout remove decorations, revert Bowgun Customizations, and reset Kinsect rarities.
  • Cutting off monster parts results in incorrect item drops.
  • Gravios lacks flinch resistance after breaking its parts (resistance adjusted in Ver. 1.000.05.00).
  • Specific situations cause crashes or strange monster behavior.
  • Unintended skill activations occur under certain conditions.
  • Certain items/rewards can be duplicated under specific circumstances.
  • Fish near the fishing spot do not flee when using a capture net.
  • Environmental features like floating debris can be activated repeatedly.
  • Controls become unresponsive during conversations with NPCs in Main Mission: Chapter 5-2.
  • Palico’s “Attract Vigorwasps” support move causes control issues.
  • Only the first 20 quests display correctly in the quest list.
  • Force quits during gameplay with saved data persist unless the game is restarted.

Please note: To apply the fix, ensure you close and restart the game after updating to Ver. 1.000.05.00.

Capcom is actively addressing ongoing issues, including network errors during SOS flare usage, prioritization of Link Members, and Palico attacks failing to inflict stun or exhaust damage. Other unresolved concerns involve improper Hunter Profile editing, incomplete side missions, and more.
