Unlocking animals for your Hideout is an engaging part of the game. Every time Naoe or Yasuke interacts with a new breed of cat or dog, that animal becomes available to add to your Hideout. You'll encounter a diverse array of dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens, including the special stray from the pre-order DLC quest, "Thrown to the Dogs."
Yasuke can also unlock smaller wildlife by capturing their beauty through painting. This includes rabbits, fox kits, tanukis, and monkeys, which you might discover in the wild. Once documented, you have the option to welcome these creatures into your Hideout.

How to Add Animals to the Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
