Stellar Blade's Summer Update: A Player Count Boost

A Summer Escape for Gamers

Stellar Blade Summer Update Makes It HotterThanks to its summer update, Stellar Blade saw a remarkable 40.14% jump in its player base. This success can be attributed to the update's compelling new content, including bug fixes, stylish new outfits, and a limited-time event.

Data from TrueTrophies, in partnership with GameInsights, analyzed over 3.1 million active PSN accounts to track player activity across PS5 and PS4 games. Their findings clearly demonstrate the positive impact of the update, particularly noteworthy given the game wasn't on sale during this period. While a highly anticipated photo mode remains absent, and the event is time-limited, the significant player increase signifies a renewed enthusiasm among fans.

The summer update introduced a temporary summer vacation zone in the Great Desert Oasis, featuring new music and interactive sunbeds. Two themed outfits were also added to Clyde's shop. Furthermore, the update addressed various issues, including a fix for the hair color in the Boss Challenge Preset, and other critical bug fixes.

Launched exclusively on PS5 on April 26th, 2024, Stellar Blade quickly garnered praise for its dynamic combat and impressive visuals. Despite some considering the summer update relatively minor, the overwhelmingly positive community response and player return demonstrate its success in offering a refreshing summer in-game experience.
