How To Break & Repair a Broken Object in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

Author : Caleb Feb 27,2025

The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers numerous rewards, but acquiring them presents challenges. One particularly tricky task involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide explains how.

Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in identifying a broken item. Instead of searching, intentionally break something. While the "prank" interaction works, it requires a specific Sim trait. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks.

The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option. Using it approximately a dozen times will cause it to malfunction, thus fulfilling the "broken object" requirement. This can be done by your Sim or invited guests.

Repairing the broken object is straightforward. With Handiness at level 2 or above, select the "Repair" interaction on the broken item. After a short time, the repair is complete, resolving the Blast from the Past challenge.
