Catch Karrablast, Shelmet in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting February Community Day on February 9th, 2025, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event will shine the spotlight on two special Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet. These Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, offering you ample opportunities to catch them, including their elusive Shiny versions.

The highlight of the event is the evolution rewards. Evolving Karrablast during the event or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time will grant you an Escavalier that knows the Charged Attack Razor Shell. This move delivers 35 power in Trainer Battles and 55 power in Gyms and Raids. Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe will yield an Accelgor with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, which boasts a solid 90 power in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and Raids.

Participating in the Special Research will reward you with encounters featuring Karrablast and Shelmet set against special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds. You'll also receive a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. Additionally, a Timed Research event extends for a week following the main event, offering tasks that unlock further encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, complete with the special backgrounds, upon logging in during Community Day.

Don’t Forget the Bonuses

The February Community Day in Pokémon Go is packed with enticing bonuses. You'll earn 3× XP for catching Pokémon, double the usual Candy, and a 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to obtain Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense (except Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours, and there's an added surprise waiting for you if you take some photos. So, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
