Code Geass: Lost Stories Global Journey Nears End on Mobile!

The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global mobile run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are closing. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game launched globally in September 2023 and is based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion anime and manga.

Closure Date:

Code Geass: Lost Stories will officially shut down on August 29th, 2024. After this date, player accounts will be inaccessible, and official global social media channels will also be deactivated. In-app purchases and new downloads are already unavailable.

Reasons for Closure:

While no official reason has been given, the game's low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a significant player base outside of Japan due to lower player spending. The game's blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while appealing to some, apparently didn't translate to widespread global success.

Japanese Players:

Japanese players can still access and enjoy the game via the Google Play Store.
