Crusader Kings III: New Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III's Chapter IV, set to roll out throughout 2025 with a strong focus on expanding the game's Asian content. This chapter promises to introduce new mechanics and regions, enriching the gameplay experience for fans of the grand strategy title.

The journey begins with the recently released cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack adds six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing players to further customize their rulers and add a personal touch to their dynasties.

Mark your calendars for April 28, as the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe, will make its debut. This expansion lets players take the reins of the Mongols, leading a nomadic horde as the Great Khan. Conquer lands and assert dominance over neighboring territories, immersing yourself in the thrilling life of a steppe warrior.

Next up, in Q3 (July–September), Coronations will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic. Players can legitimize their reign through grand coronation events, complete with extravagant festivities, solemn vows, and pivotal decisions that shape the future of their kingdom. This DLC also enhances political interactions with new advisor and vassal events, adding depth to royal succession and governance.

The chapter culminates with the release of All Under Heaven later in the year. This massive expansion brings the entire East Asian map to life, featuring detailed representations of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore and conquer, opening up a world of strategic possibilities.

Between these major DLC releases, Paradox Interactive will continue to refine the game with patches that improve game systems and AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26. This ongoing dialogue ensures that Crusader Kings III remains a dynamic and evolving experience for its dedicated community.
