GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, on PC. Both PlayStation titles are now available DRM-free, preserving their original content as part of GOG's Preservation Program.
Originally released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these titles represent a significant piece of gaming history. While Dino Crisis 3 arrived on the original Xbox in 2003, a new entry in the franchise remains elusive, despite fan demand and occasional calls for a remake or a new installment. Capcom's 2022 release of Exoprimal, a dinosaur-themed multiplayer action game, and comments from creator Shinji Mikami seemingly dashed hopes for a Dino Crisis revival.
GOG's release is a welcome addition for fans, offering enhanced compatibility and improved gameplay. Previously difficult to run on modern systems, these PC ports are now optimized for a smoother experience.
