Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Saudi Ratings Hint

Author : Emery May 14,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, even though there has been no official announcement confirming its release on the new console. While fans eagerly await news about the game based on Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, which was shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests that the game will indeed be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The tweet, which was taken down shortly after it was posted, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices." This message also confirmed that the game had received a 12+ rating.

PlayDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights. It promises an impressive roster of playable characters, each equipped with their own signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting that "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 began on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The pre-orders were met with overwhelming demand, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who had pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to the high volume of orders.
