Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't turned in for rewards; instead, they're valuable trade goods. This guide details their location and sale.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols, with two more located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Selling Your Idols for Gold
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak with Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll buy your idols for a substantial amount of gold:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five idols nets you 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as high-value sellables, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
