"Guide to Winning the A Prize Held High in Monster Hunter Wilds"

Author : Gabriel Apr 01,2025

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, there's a world of activities beyond just hunting the largest beasts. If you're aiming to unlock the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement, here's a detailed guide to help you achieve it.

How to Unlock the A Prize Held High Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds

Contrary to what the trophy's name might suggest, you won't be chasing dragons or wyverns for this achievement. Instead, your target is the elusive Curioshell Crab, which you can capture using the Capture Net.

Finding the Curioshell Crab can be challenging as it appears across various maps. Our most reliable spot has been the Scarlet Forest. Start from the base camp and head towards Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp, located between Areas 2 and 6.

Once you reach the Flowering Rocks, check the nearby puddle of water, a prime spawning spot for the Curioshell Crab. If you're having trouble spotting it, Alma can assist you. She'll mention if a creature nearby is holding something, signaling the presence of a Curioshell Crab.

Equip your Capture Net, aim carefully until the reticle turns orange, and then fire to capture the crab. A successful capture will net you not only the Curioshell Crab but also an Ancient Wyvern Coin.

The Curioshell Crab moves quickly, so anticipate its path and aim ahead to ensure a successful capture. Besides the Scarlet Forest, you might also find it in Area 13 of the Windward Plains or Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. Keep in mind, it can spawn in other areas too, but these are the spots we've confirmed.

That's all you need to know to secure the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and guides, be sure to check out The Escapist.
