The mobile action RPG My Hero Academia: The Strongest will be ending service, developer Xin Yuan Studios announced today. Based on Kohei Horikoshi's hit anime series, the globally launched game arrived on mobile devices back in May 2021.
The End Approaches for Hero Training
Jointly published by Sony Pictures Television, KOMOE Game Corporation and A-Plus Japan, the game allowed players to immerse themselves in the My Hero Academia world, collecting fan-favorite heroes like Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki while completing missions across detailed environments.
When Will Servers Close?
The final shutdown is scheduled for March 31st, 2025. Preliminary steps have already begun - the game disappeared from app stores on February 24th, with all in-game purchases disabled. After the March shutdown date, official social media channels will also be terminated.
Customer support will remain available for 30 additional days to address player concerns. Those who made purchases between January 25th and February 24th, 2025 can request refunds prior to the shutdown.
In these final days, developers are sending all remaining players a farewell package containing exclusive SSS+ heroes and 100,000 Hero Coins. Full details are available on the official website.
Why the Closure?
While gacha game closures have become common, My Hero Academia: The Strongest maintained a four-year run. The title launched with strong PvP mechanics and impactful combat that initially impressed players.
However, inconsistent updates and management issues gradually led to decline. The game's longevity despite minimal post-launch support speaks to its initial quality and dedicated fanbase.
