Following several Closed Alpha tests, Splitgate 2 is opening its doors to everyone with a new Open Alpha Test. This highly anticipated sequel, revealed in 2024, will be available for a limited time.
When is the Open Alpha?
The Open Alpha Test begins February 27th, 2025, and concludes March 2nd, 2025, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
How to Participate:
- On February 27th, visit your preferred digital storefront (Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store).
- Search for "Splitgate 2".
- Download the Crossplay Alpha Test.
What Awaits You:
The Open Alpha features crossplay functionality and introduces "Multi-Team Portal Warfare," a massive 24-player mode. Three teams of eight will battle on Splitgate's largest map yet, utilizing new weapons, perks, and equipment. The core portal mechanic, a hallmark of the original, remains central to the gameplay. Expect intense action and the opportunity to experiment with new additions to the franchise. The Alpha will also showcase new character classes (or factions) with unique abilities. Developer 1047 Games emphasizes that player feedback has heavily influenced the game's development.
