Hideo Kojima, the visionary behind Death Stranding, has revealed plans to mark the 10th anniversary of his studio, Kojima Productions, with a special event in Tokyo later this month.
Led by Kojima himself, the "celebratory gathering" titled Beyond The Strand will feature guest appearances and provide an exclusive look at upcoming projects. The event is scheduled for September 23, 2025, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, Japan.
Local fans can enter a lottery for a chance to win tickets priced at ¥7700 (approximately $50) when sales begin tomorrow on September 2. Alternatively, the event will be available to watch online.
Currently, it appears unlikely that we will see significant details about Kojima's enigmatic new PlayStation title Physint, as the developer recently stated the game is still "at the conceptual stage". However, attendees may learn more about Kojima's horror project OD, which remains in development alongside Microsoft, even following Xbox's recent cancellation of several internal and external titles.
Kojima initially announced his partnership with Xbox for OD in November 2022, before officially unveiling OD along with its star-studded cast at The Game Awards 2023. At that time, it was revealed that Kojima was collaborating with filmmaker Jordan Peele to craft a horror experience “no one has seen before."
Of course, Hideo Kojima is also the creator of the groundbreaking Metal Gear stealth series, but this doesn't guarantee he will spend his free time playing the remake Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. When recently asked if he planned to play the remake, Kojima laughed and simply replied, "No, I won't." Nevertheless, Konami’s Metal Gear series producer Noriaki Okamura has expressed his desire to collaborate with Kojima again on future stealth entries.
