Marvel Television has reportedly hit the pause button on three highly anticipated shows: Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. According to sources cited by Deadline, these projects were never officially greenlit and might still see the light of day. However, Marvel has seemingly shifted its focus, aligning with broader strategic changes within the studio.
This shift comes as Marvel Studios gears up for the launch of the Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. This week, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming and television, shared exciting news about the potential reunion of the street-level heroes from the Netflix series, including Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, collectively known as The Defenders.

Marvel Studios is adopting a more selective approach, developing more shows than it ultimately produces. As Winderbaum noted in an interview with Screen Rant last year, "We're really being careful about what we choose to do next."
The pause on Nova is particularly noteworthy. Just two months ago, it was announced that Ed Bernero, former showrunner of Criminal Minds, was set to helm the series as both writer and showrunner, with Nova confirmed for Disney+. Strange Academy was poised to explore a magical school established by the MCU's Doctor Strange, with Wong taking the lead. Details on Terror, Inc. remain scarce.
Here's what we can look forward to in the Marvel TV lineup: Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, followed by Ironheart on June 24, and Wonder Man set for a December release. On the film front, three MCU movies are slated for this year post the release of Captain America: Brave New World: Thunderbolts in May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
