The Pathless makes its way back to iOS via a standalone App Store release

Author : Christian Jan 05,2025

The acclaimed action-adventure game, The Pathless, returns to iOS as a standalone release! Previously an Apple Arcade and console exclusive, this archery-focused exploration game is now available on mobile without needing a subscription.

Experience a vast open world and precise archery combat in this minimalist yet richly detailed title. Players assume the role of a hunter, utilizing mystical abilities and a bow and arrow to lift a curse from a mysterious island.

We highly recommend The Pathless (for three compelling reasons, which you can find in our previous coverage). Its standalone iOS release is a welcome return.

While some Apple Arcade games disappear after leaving the service, The Pathless's journey is a success story. Initially planned as a console exclusive, its Apple Arcade appearance proved crucial in paving the way for this standalone mobile release. The positive reception clearly encouraged the developers to bring it to a wider mobile audience.
