Pokémon GO: Legendary Encounters Join Unova Tour

Pokemon GO Tour: Unova Brings Black and White Kyurem!

Get ready, trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, happening March 1st and 2nd. These legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, offering a chance to catch their shiny forms. The event also features special in-game backgrounds inspired by the classic Pokémon Black and White games.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-awaited wish for many fans. These powerful Pokémon have been highly anticipated since their accidental appearance in the game in 2023. After a period of uncertainty, Niantic is delivering on this popular request, perfectly timed with the Unova-focused event.

Niantic's announcement confirms the appearance of Black and White Kyurem in raids during the GO Tour: Unova event. Shiny versions will also be catchable. The event runs globally from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd.

Fusion Frenzy: Kyurem's Transformative Power

Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, players can fuse Kyurem with either Zekrom or Reshiram. To fuse with Zekrom (creating Black Kyurem), you'll need 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Fusion with Reshiram (creating White Kyurem) requires 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. These fusions are reversible at no cost. The necessary energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.

The fused forms boast unique attacks: Black Kyurem learns Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem learns Ice Burn.

Event Exclusive: Black and White Backgrounds

Beyond the legendary Pokémon, the GO Tour: Unova event offers two special backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Successfully fusing Black Kyurem and White Kyurem unlocks these backgrounds, with an additional unique background awarded for completing both fusions.

With the GO Tour: Unova event just around the corner, trainers can soon add these powerful Pokémon and exclusive rewards to their collections!
