Project VK: A Community-Driven Successor to the Canceled Project KV

Following the abrupt cancellation of Project KV amidst plagiarism accusations, a dedicated group of fans has risen to the challenge, creating Project VK – a non-profit, community-driven game. This fan-made project emerged on September 8th, the very day Project KV was shut down.

Studio Vikundi, the team behind Project VK, released a statement on Twitter (X) addressing the situation. They emphasized their project's independence from both Project KV and Blue Archive, highlighting their commitment to professionalism and ethical development practices, unlike the controversy surrounding Project KV.

Project KV's cancellation stemmed from significant online backlash over its striking similarities to Blue Archive, a game some of its developers previously worked on at Nexon Games. The accusations centered on the game's art style, music, and core concept – a city populated by female students wielding weapons. Dynamis One, the studio behind Project KV, announced the cancellation just a week after releasing its second teaser.

Project VK stands as a testament to the passion and dedication of the gaming community, demonstrating their ability to create compelling alternatives when faced with disappointment. The project's non-profit nature underscores its commitment to the fans and the integrity of the gaming experience.
