Sanctum Sanctorum Map Revealed for Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals Unveils Season 1's Sanctum Sanctorum Map: A First Look

Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, introduces a thrilling new map: the Sanctum Sanctorum. This iconic location will host the game's newest mode, Doom Match, a chaotic free-for-all battle royale for 8-12 players where the top 50% emerge victorious.

Beyond the Sanctum Sanctorum, Season 1 expands Marvel Rivals with Midtown (featuring a new convoy mission) and the mysterious Central Park map (arriving mid-season). The storyline pits the Fantastic Four against Dracula, the season's primary antagonist.

A recently released video showcases the Sanctum Sanctorum's unique design, blending opulent décor with the bizarre. Expect floating cookware, a surprising refrigerator inhabitant (a squid-like creature!), winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and powerful artifacts. Even Doctor Strange's portrait and his ghostly canine companion, Bats, make appearances. The level of detail is striking, a testament to the developers' dedication.

The Fantastic Four take center stage in Doctor Strange's absence. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman debut with Season 1, while Human Torch and The Thing join the fray in the mid-season update. With Dracula's sinister plot and the arrival of beloved characters, Marvel Rivals Season 1 promises an exciting chapter for players.

Key Features:

  • New Map: Sanctum Sanctorum, home to Doctor Strange (and a few unexpected guests!).
  • New Game Mode: Doom Match – a free-for-all battle for 8-12 players.
  • New Storyline: The Fantastic Four confront Dracula.
  • Additional Maps: Midtown (convoy mission) and Central Park (mid-season release).
  • New Characters: Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman (launch), Human Torch and The Thing (mid-season).
